Lights of Love
Main Street Ottumwa will be presenting the 15th Annual “Lights of Love” in Central Park this coming Holiday Season.
The cost for one tree is $125.00. We have a limited number of trees available. Purchase your tree by filling out the form below or mailing your payment to Main Street Ottumwa.

Your investment in a memorial tree will help continue the progress of revitalizing our downtown district which is needed now more than ever.

EVENT AND TREE DETAILS

Trees will be trimmed with white lights and a large red bow and will be identified with the name of the honoree, business, or donor names.

Each honoree or business will be announced as the memorial trees are illuminated one by one in Central Park, on the evening of November 27th during the Main Street Ottumwa’s Lighting of the Trees Ceremony starting at 5:30pm.

The Event will be streamed on FB for those that cannot attend in person.

Trees will remain lit throughout the Holiday Season. Please remove your personal items before January 1. We will not hold your items once the trees are removed.

TREE DECORATING RULES
To ensure safety in the park and keep this cherished tradition going for years to come, all participants are required to follow the rules below. Please note that compliance is necessary to remain eligible to participate in future years.

1. Do Not Add Extra Lights
Please do not add extra light strands or any other powered decorations. Overloading the electrical system trips the circuits and shuts off power to neighboring trees.

2. No Breakable Ornaments
Glass and other breakable items are strictly prohibited. Broken glass on the ground creates a serious safety hazard and prevents Parks staff from safely using snowblowers and lawn equipment in the area. Please use only plastic, fabric, wood, or other durable, weather-resistant materials.

3. Secure Every Decoration Firmly
Park winds can be severe. Every ornament must be twisted securely onto the branch or tightly tied—draping or using open hooks is not permitted. Loose items that blow off into the grass or snow cause the same equipment and safety hazards for Parks staff.
4. Protect Your Memories​
Please do not display irreplaceable heirlooms or items of sentimental value. Main Street Ottumwa and the City of Ottumwa are not responsible for lost, stolen, or weather-damaged items.

Deadline for tree orders: November 12, or until sold out.
