On May 13-14 approximately 225 visitors will visit Ottumwa to participate in a 2 day workshop focusing on “Preservation in Progress.”. Holding workshops on general preservation principles and planning, grant writing, “History Threatened and how to stop it”, there will be well know state and national speakers, facilitators and participants. Local historians Molly Myers Naumann, Fred Zesiger, Main Street Ottumwa volunteers and others will plan and host this outstanding opportunity to showcase Ottumwa’s historic downtown. Meetings will be held in the Hotel Ottumwa, City Hall and our Public Library.
